WEBSiTE REDESiGN | CAKE WRECKS

Cakewrecks.com, a long running comedic blog that posts horribly ugly, hilariously funny cakes was in need of a facelift. This site redesign was a group project that started with creating a survey to get the opinions of visitors/potential visitors. The survey was conducted and the data collected using a Google Doc, where the demographics of the users were examined, as well as their impressions and expectations of the site. From there, usability testing was created and conducted that focused primarily on how easy it was to navigate to different parts of the website and find the information they were asked to seek. The final site redesign was based on the results of this testing, with the primary goal of keeping the site mostly the same to be familiar to long-time users, just giving it a slight design update and making it much easier to use.
